About Me

I am a seasoned journalist and editorial consultant with over 20 years of experience across Publishing, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and Business Development in Qatar.

I have oft been told I am a “bridge between Qatar and the world” because I bring my experience to the narrative, helping locals understand the “foreign” perspective and vice versa. Clients come to me because they value what I have to offer – my ability to draw upon 40+ years of experience living and working in Qatar and understanding how the region works.

I have acquired diverse skills along the way in my various positions and while running businesses in Qatar; built strong connections with organisations, investors, media, PR agencies, ministries, government and semi-government organisations in the region as well as globally; learnt to be a manager that cares for her team; and my broad education (from physics, chemistry and math to journalism, politics and music) has consistently helped me throughout my career.

I love speaking to people to understand their challenges and see how I can help them develop their business. With a network of connections across various industries in Qatar and the region, I continue to connect businesses with opportunities and collaborations.

Together with my team I bring a unique, cross-disciplinary approach to clients’ challenges, ensuring the right balance of expertise and real world experience across editorial & content, cultural awareness & business development.

Through my blog, Qatar Untold, I hope to shed some clarity on the Qatar community (both local and migrant) to aid those looking to make Qatar home for the next few years get a feel of the place and the resident population.
